Comprehensive Psychiatric Assessment
This is our first official visit together where I get to hear your story. The total visit time is 75 minutes. I provide an in-depth evaluation to understand your mental health history, current challenges, and goals. Together, we will develop tailored treatment plans that may include psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and/or holistic interventions.
Medication Management
Medications can offer a valuable and often transformative tool for individuals struggling with mental health conditions. I can prescribe and monitor medications to address mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, etc. If I believe that medications may be helpful for you, I will explain my reasoning and offer detailed pros and cons for you to consider. This is a collaborative process and I want you to ultimately make the best decision for your health.
Psychotherapy
I am a psychiatrist who loves to practice psychotherapy with my patients. While my primary focus is psychodynamic therapy, I integrate complementary therapeutic modalities as needed, ensuring a tailored approach to your unique needs. This may include cognitive-behavioral techniques, DBT, and mindfulness interventions. I strongly believe in fostering a collaborative and supportive therapeutic relationship to facilitate positive change. I offer limited weekly psychotherapy spots at discounted rates.
Herbal, Supplements, and Plant-Based Medicine
If standard medications have not worked for you, or you have experienced negative side-effects with them in the past, I can help you discover alternative options that are evidence-based. Many of these may work alongside your current medications to optimize your overall health. I utilize Fullscript to create your unique supplement plans which you can order directly from trusted brands.
Comprehensive Lab Assessment and Advance Functional Nutritional Testing
Depending on our treatment plan, I may suggest basic laboratory testing to examine and restore vitamin deficiencies, thyroid level and other hormones that may affect your mood. At times, conventional lab testings are limited and cannot offer personalized results in order to optimize overall health. Therefore, I also use the latest technology in lab testing to examine your nutrient levels, organic acid levels, essential and metabolic fatty acid levels, amino acid levels, oxidative stress, and presence of toxins, which will allow us to further optimize your treatment regimen.
Gut Microbiome Testing
Your gut microbiome is as unique as you are and there is currently a significant body of evidence to suggest a strong connection between your gut health and your mental health. Through GI stool testing, we can better understand potential barriers such as maldigestion, inflammation, infection, and metabolite imbalance.
Pharmacogenomic Testing
New advancements in genetic testing now allows us to look at genetic variations in your DNA. These tests can be done in the comfort of your own home and sent back to the labs. I use these results to assess your response to certain medications commonly prescribed to treat depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other psychiatric conditions.
Ongoing Follow-up and Support
I can be available to provide regular check-ins and follow-up sessions as necessary to assess your progress and make necessary adjustments to the treatment plan. Follow up visit duration can vary between 25 to 50 minutes as well as time between each visits. I will often suggest how often you should follow up and what visit duration in order to maximize your overall treatment plan. You can also message me directly and securely through a patient portal between our visits.
