Meet your psychiatrist
Hello! I am Dr. Duong (pronounced yoo-ung), a board-certified psychiatrist based in Los Angeles, California. I have a passion for integrating traditional psychiatric practices with holistic and complementary therapies. My practice is rooted in the belief that mental health is a multifaceted journey, and thus, requires a comprehensive and personalized approach. I strive to seamlessly blend evidence-based psychiatric interventions with mindfulness, nutritional counseling, and mind-body techniques. My approach to mental health
“Integrative psychiatry is the compass guiding us through the complex terrain of mental health. It’s not just about finding the path; it’s about crafting a roadmap for lasting well-being.”
Holistic Care
I consider the whole person, addressing not only symptoms but also lifestyle, nutrition, and your overall well-being.
Personalized Treatment
One size does not fit all and I believe in tailoring treatment plans to your unique needs so we can enhance the effectiveness of interventions.
Combining Therapeutic Modalities
I will consider both western and eastern approaches that are evidence-based including herbal supplements and plant-based medicines.
Addressing Underlying Causes
Simply focusing on alleviating symptoms will not lead to long-term improvements, therefore, I strive to incorporate psychotherapy into every visit.
Cultural Sensitivity
As a first generation Asian American and also a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I have a unique perspective on the intersections of mental health.
Prevention and Wellness
I want to foster a proactive approach to mental wellness by empowering you to focus on prevention and wellness promotion.
